Born in 1937, Bernard Huvelin graduated from HEC.  In 1962 he joined SGE (which later became VINCI).  He became Secretary General in 1974, Deputy General Manager from 1982 to 1988, member of the Management Board from 1988 to 1990, Deputy General Manager from 1991 to 1997, Managing Director from 1997 to 1999, Member of the Board and President from 1999 to 2005.

Bernard Huvelin is an officer of the Légion d'honneur and a knight of the Ordre National du Mérite.
